Became member of The School of Rock, Roslyn House Band in 2011,
Selected and toured as elite member of SCHOOL OF ROCK ALLSTAR summer of 2013. Tour included:
Union Transfer in Philadelphia, Gramercy Theatre in New York, Gathering of the Vibes in Connecticut,
Member of Archbishop Molloy High School Guitar Ensemble.
Michael teaches at P.S. 166 located in Astoria, Queens twice a week teaching guitar to
4th and 5th graders in their after school program.
Attending The Clive Davis Institute at NYU for High School students in the FUTURE MUSIC MOGULS program.
Only 16 students were selected.
Recording Artist, recorded his first EP with his band, The Inoculated Canaries.
Michael is responsible for writing music and lyrics.
Michael is attending Berklee College of Music July 2014 for Guitar Sessions program.

Michael Rubin started his band, The Inoculated Canaries. Upon hearing his 7th grade science teacher mention “inoculating canaries” during a bird flu scare, The Inoculated Canaries moniker was officially “hatched”. The band’s first official tour kicked-off during the summer of 2013. The Inoculated Canaries introduced three original songs which were recorded at Cove City Sound Studios this fall and overseen by legendary Richie Cannata who has taken an interest in helping take them to the “next level”. Michael and a band member were Interviewed on OWWR (Old Westbury University Radio) to discuss the new EP, The Blue Laws,
written by Michael and bandmember Fred Leighton. The original songs were played on the radio and they performed live acoustic covers of Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" and Tenacious D's "The History Of...."
The band was both interviewed and featured on the Vinny Vella cable show.
The band was interviewed and performed live on MYLITV.com for Rick's Rising Stars (upcoming Long Island musicians).
