Began playing guitar at the age of 9.
Joined The School of Rock in 2010.
Became member of The School of Rock, Roslyn House Band (audition only band) in 2011 and was a
member until he graduated from the school.
In 2014, began an entrepreneurial journey by partnering with his parents to open his own franchise,
School of Rock in Rockville Centre, NY . After school and during the summer Michael teaches as well as
Directs shows. Michael is an active partner in this venture.
Selected and toured as elite member of SCHOOL OF ROCK ALLSTAR summer of 2013
and summer of 2015. The AllStars are a worldwide nomination and audition selection of the top 1% (out of 20,000
School of Rock students.

Michael volunteered for one year at P.S. 166 located in Astoria, Queens twice a week teaching guitar to
4th and 5th graders in their after school music program.
Attended The Clive Davis Institute at NYU for High School students in the FUTURE MUSIC MOGULS program.

Recording Artist, recorded his first EP with his band, The Inoculated Canaries. The EP "The Blue Laws" consisted of
Broken Bridges, From You and Prisoner. "The Fifth Song" was released as a live performance. The newest originals "Don't Be
Late" is to be releaseed on October 23, 2015. His second EP including all original tracks "Same Old Things", "Shipwrecked" and "The Philosophy of Inquiry" will be released end of 2015.
Michael is responsible for writing music and lyrics.

Michael also volunteers as music director for music programs for children between the ages of 9-11.
His original song, "From You" was premiered on the Richie Cannata's Monday Night Jam at The Bitter End as special guests.
Michael Rubin started his band, The Inoculated Canaries. Upon hearing his 7th grade science teacher mention “inoculating canaries” during a bird flu scare, The Inoculated Canaries moniker was officially “hatched”. The band’s first official tour kicked-off during the summer of 2013. (See band website at www.theinoculatedcanaries.com) Michael is presently recording with producer Dante Lattanzi of Caelum Music Productions.
