Allstars Audition/Admission 2013
Allstar Audition/Acceptance 2015
We are happy to announce that our 2015 AllStars have been selected, and the announcements with the results will be arriving shortly. Our 151 AllStars represent the top 1% of our students, worldwide. Every year, the bar is raised on what it means to be an AllStar, thanks to the excellence of our music programs and the quality of our students.
This year, over 450 students from 100 schools auditioned for AllStars. Their courage, talent and hard work moved everyone within earshot. Thousands of rehearsal hours, hundreds of shows and stages big and small paid off. We are proud of our kids, their teachers, show directors and dedicated parents.
For the first time since we were a much smaller company, we undertook live auditions in 20 locations. Live auditions gave our students the chance to showcase themselves in front of judges and their peers. The live setting naturally promotes a healthy competition but it also nurtures musical excellence, comradery, and sparks new friendships between students from different schools. For students who could not make it to one of the live auditions, we conducted over 20 auditions via Skype.
We sincerely thank owners Marc Gurley, Angie McCreight, Dean Tarpley, Stacey Marmolejo, Steve Gentilini, Scott Rinaberger, Mike Addesso, Matt Ross, Laura Bollettino, Shelly Norehad, Rick Rothschild, Bernard Wong, and Karla Willard, and General Managers Jo Kehagias, Jill Livick, and Zeke Trosper for making time for these auditions, and being such gracious hosts for our AllStars Directors and visiting students. We could not have done it without you and your staff.
Sincere gratitude to Rick Carney, Tom McKee, Art Lima, Frank Perrouna, Zeke Trosper, and Andy Levenberg, our National Directors, who traveled to different cities, encouraged our kids, and selected the 2015 AllStars. Thanks also to our corporate employees, Len Sitnick, John Guffey, and Carl Hinds, for making it possible to hold more auditions than our Music Directors could attend. We thank you for your hard work, commitment, and inspiration.
Whether your school has students who made it into the final selection or not, and even if you did not submit AllStars this year, please take a moment to appreciate your faculty, your parents, and your students for their hard work and dedication. Time to celebrate!
Congratulations to 2015 AllStars!
SCHOOL OF ROCK
We're pleased to announce the 2015 AllStars. The fact that you have even one student who made it into the final selection is a tribute to the music program in your school. You should be proud of the standard of excellence you’ve set for music education in your school.
We welcome the following student(s) to the 2015 AllStars:
The following student(s) did not make it into the final selection:
Though they did not make it into the final selection, please recognize their hard work and courage for auditioning. The bar was higher than ever this year, and without the talents of the many, we would not have the caliber of AllStars that we do.
The judges will be sending along detailed feedback to any students who did not make the final selection in the next couple of weeks. We encourage them to continue to work with their instructors, and most definitely to try out again next year.
The AllStars are the manifestation of everything that School of Rock stands for, and they will be playing not only for themselves, but for the legacy of the AllStars program and all who came before them. They will be looked up to by those who aspire to be an AllStar one day. We ask them to lead by example, honor the AllStars tradition, continue to work hard, and inspire their fellow students who will follow in their footsteps.
